. The game takes massive pride and considers it a gimmick that it refers to alot of "classic" gangster films and for those film buffs it will be made obvious from the get go. The beginning of Mafia II sees Vito being sent to the war (1943) having been caught by police for theft and within a few minutes you'll be on your way home. Once home the game comes into its' own with more gangster film references and Vito immediately having to defend his sister from loan sharks, after the fighting tutorial and scaring the shark off, you will then begin to make your way in to the criminal underworld.Mirror Premium
